The maintenance box in the Epson EcoTank ET-2980 collects surplus ink from printing and print-head cleaning. It is separate from the bottles used to refill the ink tanks, so changing the box and adding ink are different maintenance jobs.

Toner Buzz carries the genuine Epson T04D100 maintenance box for this printer. Follow the maintenance-box message when it is time to change the part; printing stops once the box has no room to absorb more ink.
