HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw Printer Review

The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw is best suited for household and light to moderate usage shared printing settings. At 19 ppm, the M277dw is not quite fast enough for office printing.

Also, the M277dw's 150 main paper tray capacity is low for offices that typically seek laser printers with high paper capacities to support heavy print output.

In small office settings with light to moderate print output and a few shared users, however, it is more than capable.

With its compact design and extensive features, the M277dw is a top-of-the-line household all-in-one color laser printer.

Shining Bright

The HP Color LaserJet Pro M277dw shines brightest as a top-shelf household all-in-one printer due to its size, paper capacity, and speed.

The M277dw fits nicely on any average-size table and is a versatile printer that delivers high-quality text and images and a convenient 3" touchscreen display that scans directly to email and the cloud.

It also is easily installed and offers fast relative print speeds for household printing, in addition to duplex printing which is impressive given the M277dw's size.

Coming Up Short

The HP Color LaserJet Pro M277dw excels in network, mobile, and wireless capabilities, providing a seamless printing experience. With built-in Wi-Fi, users can easily print wirelessly from their devices.

The printer also features a high-speed USB port for direct printing, along with HP ePrint and NFC printing options for added convenience and flexibility.

Although the HP Color LaserJet Pro M277dw offers impressive features, it's important to note a few limitations. Some users have reported that color printing may lack vibrancy or accuracy compared to other models.

Additionally, the printer's cost per page is relatively higher when compared to certain alternatives. However, these minor drawbacks do not overshadow its overall versatility and performance.

For its size and price, the M277dw overachieves when it comes to network, mobile, and wireless features.

Note: Other printers in HP's M277 line include the HP Color LaserJet Pro M277n and the HP Color LaserJet Pro M277dw.

The HP Color LaserJet Pro M277dw uses  HP 201A toners, including black (CF400A), cyan (CF401A), yellow (CF402A), and magenta (CF403A).

When using any printer in the HP M277 series, opting for genuine HP cartridges is essential to maintain high print quality and performance, as they are specifically designed to work seamlessly with HP printers.
