Toner is expensive, but we’ve rounded up the cheapest toners of 2023 to help drive your print costs way down. Most of these toner cartridges are under 50 bucks and will allow you to print for less than a penny per page!
How We Find The Cheapest Toners
We spent a day in our warehouse comparing prices and page yields of our entire inventory. Dividing the price by the projected page yield gave us a rough idea of the cost per page.
Bear in mind this isn’t a 100% accurate reflection of print costs since it doesn’t factor in the cost of the paper you’re printing on. But it does tell you which toner gives you the most for your money. (Spoiler: It’s not HP!)
List of Cheapest Toners by Printer Brand
HP
HP is by far the most expensive printer toner on the market. We were hard-pressed to find an affordable HP toner cartridge to deliver prints under a nickel per page.

Toner prices can change based on supply and demand. The more popular the printer model, the more expensive the replacement toner.

The most expensive toner came from the most popular printer brands, like Brother and HP. There are no “cheap” toner cartridges for Brother or HP, but if you spring for high-yield toner cartridges, you can bring your print costs down to under a penny per page.
